Although the acceptance of foreign workers is expanding in local regions due to the shortage of labor force, the issue of local settlement has become an issue as people leave and relocate due to concerns about their living and work environments.
In this seminar, we will invite researchers who conduct surveys and research on inter-regional migration of foreign workers and their satisfaction with life and work to provide data-based explanations of factors affecting retention.
In particular, focusing on work engagement, which is considered to be low among Japanese as a whole, the seminar will show the reality that technical intern trainees are highly motivated at the time of arrival in Japan but decline with the length of their stay, and will explain the background and directions for improvement. This is an opportunity to learn about the regional settlement of foreign workers, which is directly related to the sustainability of the region. We look forward to your participation.
